Why do you come
When it hurts me so?
Watching my tears
You have to know

Two sweet brother
laid to rest
It's hard not to cry
I'll try my best

Of course I'm upset
It's plain to see
But what I don't understand
Is how can this be?

It's just not fair,
For me to feel
The sting of death
That's waiting to heal

I know you're upset
As you gaze into my eyes
But the reason you're gone
Is nothing but lies

You and your brother
So eager to play
Were put in the box
And there you'd stay

It breaks my heart
Just thinking of you
The two bravest boys
The world ever knew

You looked death in the eye
And turned your back
But you'd been through so much
We cut you some slack

With your twin brother
The best way to go
But going you'd learn
How it hurt me so

So my dear friends
As I still cry
We have to accept
I can't say goodbye...

Ok, I've been meaning to do this for a long time now. This is a dedication to our two ferrets who we lost on Thursday, May 12 2011. It's a dark picture, and it's also the only picture so far to really get to me. This one was really made out of emotion.
Emotional as it is, I didn't draw it.

The one on his back is Bert, and the one looking up at me is Ernie. I wanted to also make a picture that showed the bond between humans and animals, and that's why Ernie is also crying.

I worked a bit harder on this one because it really meant something to me. I wanted to make something that really resembled them. I think I succeeded.
